About Us

Our Story = Experience!

Dogs 'RUs Aberdeen; two small dogs at play, having loads of fun together.
Dogs ‘RUs Aberdeen at play!

Having been a dog owner over the course of thirty years, with experience of several breeds, I have always, taken my dogs out on long rambles in the countryside or used agility based play time to keep them active and thinking.
My dogs have always had the benefit of varied and stimulating outings and that’s what I wanted to see for other dogs.
So I started Dogs RUs Aberdeen!

I like to see dogs out, having a great time, running about  and when our dogs are at play, they really get to stretch their legs! When we play, we aim to stretch their minds too! Having a dog think things through is a necessary part of it’s development into being a well balanced dog. When a dog is able to access a choice of behaviours, it’s more likely to be calmer and happier. Helping a dog to do that via play and having a fun time is more likely to encourage positive choices.
We do enjoy bringing fun into the learning environment and our pooches enjoy the rewards!

Our Approach = Play Time!

Our approach is to bring dogs together in a way that allows them to, develop friendships, explore play and chase in natural settings, learn social behavior, understand boundaries and group responses. We want them to have fun and yet be well mannered about it! Play time should be your dog’s favourite time!
We vary our settings so that your dogs can experience different environments….different smells, textures, nooks and crannies.
What we do is really all about your dog! It’s their walk/play time, not ours!

Our Specialities

We specialise in puppy development. We do lead work and behaviour training where and when required for all ages of dogs. Training consultations usually take place at week ends and run for an hour, training both owner and dog.

Of course we are insured and certified in what we do.

Review;
‘Dogs RUs Aberdeen have been walking my small terrier Basil since November 2017. My young dog (only 18 months at the time) developed behavioural problems following my move to Aberdeen, developing aggressive reactive behaviour.
I would not have been able to get Basil to the stage he is now without the advice and help from Pat and her team and although there is still work to be done we can see the progress which has been made and hopefully itll merely be a matter of time and persistence before his reactive behaviour is managed completely.
I dont feel I would have received the same help from another dog walking companies as Pat has dog behavioural training which she applies to her work and which enables her to help troubled dogs which other companies may avoid. Sharing her knowledge with dog owners enables them to understand their dogs and how they think and has really helped me build the relationship with Basil and love being a dog owner again.’
